The Culture sub-programme of Creative Europe includes the promotion of creative and cultural sectors
About 31% of the budget of the "Creative Europe" programme has been allocated on the sub-programme "Culture". It is aimed at promoting cultural and creative sectors (theater, literature, music etc.). Support for the cultural sector is aimed at protecting and supporting the European cultural heritage as well as in supporting cultural and creative industries, which enables them to stimulate their growth and development
The MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe provides support for the development and distribution of audiovisual works
The MEDIA sub-programme provides financial support to projects of the production, distribution and promotion of cinema and audiovisual products; provides release of full featured feature films, animated films, TV-series, documentaries and new media with supranational potential to new markets beyond national and European borders. The MEDIA sub-programme accounts for at least 56% of the Creative Europe programme budget.

The objectives of the Cross-sectoral strand sub-programme are: establishing an instrument to facilitate the access to cultural and creative sectors to sources of funding by providing guarantees; encouraging interethnic political engagement to encourage experience exchange and know-how in relation to new business models; support of the Creative Europe programme National bureaus network
