Aims and activities of the organisation

Akántaros is an intercultural association founded in 2000 in Madrid. It has been developing

projects within schools and cultural institutions (such as museums, festivals, libraries...) in national and international context. Through artistic practices such as performing arts and literature, the association is dedicated to create participative actions and community processes for all kinds of public. Research, creation and education are intertwined in all the projects. Gender perspective, environmental education and horizontality are the

methodologies for Akántaros for the creation of activities and collaboration with other cultural entities.
