Aims and activities of the organisation

The Foundation faces diversity in the Mediterranean basin

through culture in its different ways and expressions, i.e. visual and performing arts, music, literature, etc, facilitating the mobility of artists and their works not only in the European area but also in the Arab world as the Foundation works in the Mediterranean as a whole. In this sense, Morocco is the main cooperation country in our foundation since its creation 25 years ago. Besides, this particular characteristic is a very valuable asset in order to enlarge any activity beyond the European border.

We do have a strong commitment with citizens and their role in a multicultural society, paying careful attention to the contributions of immigrants to any society. In this sense, we are always keen to work on audience development, reaching out people of any age, especially youngsters, in order to invite them to explore culture as a means of social and economic development.

Needless to say, we are conscious of the importance and the strong need of cooperation among countries in order to

maximize the benefits at all levels for as many people as

possible, specially taking good care of public funds. In this way, we have proven to be a very appropriate partner in any

consortium we have been part of. Our expertise of years in the development European projects, their activities, the

dissemination of their results at an international level and the care towards the administrative and economical stage are our best way of introducing ourselves as the responsible and committed partner to work with.

We are open to explore new fields of action and specially to innovation and experimentation.
