Aims and activities of the organisation: The mission of the CMSM is to offer the population of Porto the possibility of attending Specialized Music Teaching, giving a strong contribution to the social and cultural development of the
region through a teaching of excellence, a diverse and integrated
cultural offer in the community, with a strong international
dimension. We highlight the "Music for All" project, an initiative that
provides children from disadvantaged social backgrounds with access to vocational music education. The program’s primary
goals include preventing and reducing early school leaving and absenteeism, addressing indiscipline, and promoting educational success for all students. A notable outcome of this initiative is the creation of the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra.
