Aims and activities of the
organisation: Hort-Art is a cultural platform that deals with the research,
creation, training and dissemination of dance and body arts, through the organization of artistic residency projects, festivals
and mediation and social inclusion projects, in communities. rural areas of the Vall de Segó.
It was born from the collaboration in 2014 between the artists Alex Guerra (Italy-Brazil) and Pere Bodí (Valencia), who work
together on different projects, and develop the idea of creating a space where they can delve deeper into their research.
It settled in the town of Faura (Valencia), with a population of 3,500 inhabitants, as a permanent creation center in 2018.
Since then it has developed the “Relacions Geológiques d'Amor” research residency program, the “Habitar” festival, the
“Creation Residencies” program, the “Dansa” project at the CEIP Sant Vicent Ferrer within the school curriculum, the
“Floràlia” mediation days and “Fulles de Tardor”.
