The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, in partnership with the Creative Europe Desk Ukraine and the NGO NeMo: Ukrainian Heritage Monitoring Lab, invites you to the one-day training workshop "Heritage Lab: Digitisation Workshop", aimed at enhancing professional competencies in the use of modern technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage in times of war.
The training is open to applicants and grantees of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation from frontline and de-occupied regions who, between 2018 and 2024, applied for or implemented projects supported by the Foundation in the Cultural Heritage sector. The event will take place in Kyiv on May 15. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the organizers.
Participants will gain an understanding of the basic principles of digitisation, digital transformation, and documentation of heritage sites. They will learn how to define objectives and expected outcomes of digitisation projects, deepen their knowledge of the role of digital tools in preservation, recordkeeping, management, and other aspects of museum work. The training will also offer technical, legal, semantic, and licensing guidance, along with other essential insights.
To participate in the training, please submit your application via this link by April 24 (inclusive). The number of participants is limited. Registration is the first step and does not guarantee automatic selection. The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and its partners aim to ensure balanced regional representation. Therefore, up to three participants will be selected from each region.
