Recently, the team of the Creative Europe Desk Ukraine visited Warsaw, where they participated in the conference "Young Artists – Challenges and Reality" and the Creative Europe Desks Meetings, held under the framework of Poland's Presidency in the Council of Europe.

The conference gathered over 300 artists, experts, and cultural institution representatives at the Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. The discussions focused on the challenges facing young artists in the contemporary world and the ways in which systemic support can be provided by both governments and cultural institutions.

📌 The focus areas included:
Adapting artistic education to labor market demands
– The role of entrepreneurship and technology in art and its distribution
Mental health of artists and the risks of professional burnout
New models of patronage and funding

🌍 The event featured over 40 speakers from around the world, including:

  • Georg Häusler (Director of the Directorate for Culture, Creativity, and Sport at the European Commission)

  • Hanna Wróblewska (Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland)

  • Agnieszka Polska (artist, exhibited at MoMA and Tate Modern, who shared insights on building an international career)

  • Philippe Kern (Advisor to the European Commission on cultural policy).

Separate parts of the event included discussions and workshops on topics such as:
How artificial intelligence is changing audience interaction
– How cultural institutions, artists, and Creative Europe desks can implement sustainable practices.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this European conversation and are already working to ensure that the valuable insights resonate within the Ukrainian cultural context.
